A Local Family Company
We're a small family owned plumber and HVAC shop based in Sandy, about 20 minutes from West Valley City. The same small crew shows up every time, and we treat your house like it's ours.
West Valley City is the second biggest city in Utah. It formed in 1980 when Granger, Hunter, Chesterfield, and Redwood joined up. Most of the east side and middle of town is brick ranch homes from the 60s and 70s, and the west side is mostly newer neighborhoods from the 90s and 2000s. So we see both: 50 year old drain lines and shutoff valves, and builder grade water heaters and furnaces reaching the end of their life.
Most of West Valley gets its water from Granger-Hunter Improvement District, which pumps from six deep wells and buys the rest from Jordan Valley Water. It's very hard water. Estimates for the 84119 zip run around 25 grains, and we rarely test a home in the valley under 14. That scale ends up in water heaters, tankless units, and faucets.

Had Micheal come out to our commercial building in Lehi to unclog one of our toilets that was flooding when flushed and he came out quick!! Super nice, quick to clear up the problem, and very affordable, he even cleaned one of our drains for free! 😁 We will be using this company again in the future!Posted on Google![]()

I worked with Jaeger for the installation of a Novo water softener at my home. As the approved Novo dealer for the Salt Lake City area, Jaeger made the process very convenient. After I established contact, Michael asked me to send photos of my existing water softener connections rather than scheduling an in-home visit just to provide a quote. Based on the photos, he quickly provided a quote for both the water softener and installation. The pricing was reasonable, especially since my home already had professionally installed water softener connections. On the scheduled installation date, Michael arrived on time, completed the installation in about an hour, and took the time to answer all of my questions. Overall, I am satisfied with the service Jaeger provided and would recommend them for similar water softener installations.Posted on Google![]()

How much does a service call cost in West Valley City?
It's $39 on weekdays, 9 to 5, applied to the repair if you go ahead, and $99 after hours, weekends and holidays. Repair pricing is in writing before work begins.
Do you really come out to West Valley from Sandy?
Yes. It's about 20 minutes up I-215, and we're on the west side every week. Same pricing as Sandy, no extra trip charge.
Is West Valley water hard?
Very. Most of West Valley gets its water from Granger-Hunter wells plus Jordan Valley Water. Estimates for the 84119 zip put it around 25 grains per gallon, and we rarely test a home in the valley under 14. That builds scale in water heaters and tankless units fast, so a yearly flush or a softener helps a lot.
What usually fails first in a 60s or 70s ranch home?
In West Valley's older brick ranches it's usually the main sewer line, the original shutoff valves, and the water heater. Roots work their way into clay sewer pipe, and valves that old tend to seize or drip right when you need them. One visit and we'll tell you which ones need attention now and which can wait.
My house is from the 90s or 2000s. What usually goes first?
The water heater, if it's never been replaced, then the furnace and AC. Builder grade equipment from that era is 20 to 30 years old now. We'll tell you honestly what still has life in it and what doesn't.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. Licensed in Utah (#14278324-5501), bonded and insured. 14 years in the trade.
